David Beckham offers his Name to the Royal Baby
Football star David Beckham told Sky News that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge should accept David as the royal baby name. “David’s pretty good. I think they should go for David – if it’s a boy” he said in front of the cameras. Of course Beckham was joking when he made this statement! Prince William would never think of giving a name without real heritage to the royal baby. Later on, David Beckham added that Harper is also a cool name for the royal baby.
We are still in the dark when it comes to the royal baby name, as Princess Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has not revealed any of the plans of the Royal Family to the press. Bookies have been placing their bets while trying to make some money along the ride. What we do know for certain is the hospital that Kate Middleton is going to give birth. St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington has been selected as one of the finest nurseries in London, a true gem of NHS (Britain’s public National Health System).
The royal baby due date isn’t far. Kate Middleton and Prince William were expecting the new member of the royal family in mid-July, while some early reports predicted Saturday, July 13th, as the day that a whole nation (not to mention the whole world) eagerly awaits!
Prince William is on leave from his duties in RAF (the Royal Air Force of UK) as he is preparing to welcome the royal baby in this world, and make sure that the future king (or queen?) of England will have everything he (or she) will ever need!
Meanwhile, plans to celebrate the birth of the third in line to the throne included issuing a new commemorative coin. The
Privy Council evaluated different designs and then there was the confirmation by the Royal Mint that a coin was considered to mark this event of happiness for the entire nation.
With the royal baby name remaining a mystery, the following names are gaining significant traction in the race:
Alexandra: a name with many royal connections. Don’t forget that the current Queen’s middle name is current queen’s second name is Alexandra. It is also the name of her great-grandmother and is very popular among queens and princesses. On the other hand, the living Princess Alexandra was one of William’s ex-girlfriends so Kate might want to rule this name out of the equation just in case…
James: apart from being Kate Middleton’s little brother’s name (a person that the princess loves VERY much as inside rumors keep saying), it is also a name that has plenty of royal ties. From the two king James that Britain had, both were extremely unpopular and the last James was even ousted from the throne. We are sure that Prince William will have different plans for the royal heir.
George : six kings in the long history of royalness have been called George, so you can be sure that this is a very popular royal name!
